It's hard for me to believe, but it's been a whole year since I started this blog! Time has really flown by. What a journey this year has been!
One year ago, I had no idea if anyone, except maybe a few family and friends, would read this blog. And here I am, one year later, with nearly 200,000 total pageviews, 126 posts, hundreds of followers on Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest, and so many beautiful new friends!
I love sharing my organizing journey with you, and my favourite posts are those where I'm showing you before and after pictures of organized spaces in my home. {Plus it's great having those organized spaces in my home :)}
I also love sharing tips to help you get organized. Reading your comments about how you're organizing your homes or your families makes me so happy!
I always have lofty ideas of what I want to do with this blog and what I want to share with you. But blogging generally takes a back seat to other responsibilities in my life. So I'm not the most consistent blogger. But thankfully, you seem to like me anyway :)
Here are a few things I've learned this year:
- I learned about blogging {last year I had NO clue what HTML was!}
- I learned about social media {how did I not know how much fun Pinterest would be?}
- I learned about link parties {I still remember trying to "grab a button" the first time I wanted to link up :)}
- I learned about editing photos {I'd never even heard of PicMonkey last year or had any clue how to watermark photos}
- I learned about organizing {I already had some skills of course, but I gained a lot of new ideas!}
- I learned that bloggers are very helpful {I've never had anyone be anything but generous with their help and support whenever I've asked and sometimes even before asking - I find that really refreshing!}
- I learned that I can build real relationships with people I've only communicated with online {really, I've made some great friends this year and I never dreamed that would happen}
That's a lot of learning in one year! And the exciting thing is that things are always changing, so I'm sure I'll learn lots more in the coming year too.
I know there are some of you who have been following me right from the start and to you I say a huge "thank you" :) You were there when my pictures were small and dark and my posts contained less tips. Your support and loyalty have inspired me to continue this journey. I hope I've helped you as much as you've encouraged me!
