Are you still with me? How did you do this week in the "You've Got {Too Much} Email" challenge? Each week I feel a little less overwhelmed when I open my inbox. I hope you're finding the same thing!
If you're just joining in and you're not sure what this challenge is all about, you can click here to read all about it.
Every Monday evening I post my update on how many emails I deleted during that week. So here is this week's update!
I deleted 263 emails this week. Met my weekly goal of 250 emails (I'm SO glad I picked a number because I'm sure there would be lots of weeks I'd get lazy and do less than that!).
Some of the emails are getting harder to delete... or at least take a bit more thought or action before they can be deleted. So it's taking a little longer. But it's progress!
This week I returned to the "Organization" folder to delete any emails I no longer needed. I pinned a lot of great ideas again before I deleted emails.
I also found some emails that were invitations to link parties that were months old... definitely didn't need to be keeping those! In the future, I'll be deleting these kinds of emails as they come in so I don't have to purge later. I'm learning a lot through this process :)
Wondering if it's too late to join the challenge? Nope! Join any time! Do a little or a lot each day or week. It's up to you. Let me know how you're doing so we can cheer each other on!
During this challenge, I've been coming across other bloggers who have shared motivation and tips for managing your inbox and I thought it would be great to share them with you each week.
This week I'm sharing a link from Michael Hyatt again, but this time it's a podcast. It's called How to Take Control of Your Email Inbox. Sounds great eh?! If you're not into podcasts, there's also a link there to the transcript so you can just read all his great tips.
I've included tips in the other update posts in this series, so if you've missed any, here's a full list.
